It’s about time I share it!
Never has my voice been so shaky or my nerves been so rattled while speaking to other people!!
I knew I was nervous about sharing my deep thoughts, about how LONG my statement seemed to be, and about others’ reactions but my voice SHOOK. I am a pretty social person who loves people and interacting with people so I was pretty surprised at how hard it was for me to read this! Writing my personal thoughts is apparently MUCH easier for me but I am so happy I did it. I swallowed tears at times and I didn’t look up to make eye contact nearly as much as I had rehearsed but it was definitely a defining moment for me to open up my heart this way to other members of the community (including the RABBI!!!). Luckily, as mentioned before, Rabbi doesn’t open up the class to comments right away just allows for a moment for everyone to digest what they heard. That was peaceful. However, I was surprised that after class, a few ladies came up to me to tell me how much they enjoyed my reading!! One lady came up to me and just gave me a big hug and walked away! So sweet. This was definitely an experience to remember.
…so here is what I read to my class (no edit)…
